From 6 to 9 September 2025, Dublin will welcome the B.A.P. Unión, the Peruvian Navy’s majestic sail training ship, as it docks in the city with a colourful celebration of Peruvian culture, cuisine, tourism, and craftsmanship.

The visit is part of the vessel’s ongoing European tour, which has already made waves in Panama, the United States, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands. A highlight of the journey is the innovative “Casa Perú” experience—a travelling showcase that brings together the country’s history, music, dance, flavours, and export-ready products.
At 115.7 metres long with four towering masts and 34 sails, the B.A.P. Unión is among the largest sailing training ships in the world. While its primary role is to train the next generation of Peruvian naval officers, it also doubles as a “floating embassy”, carrying Peru’s cultural spirit and national identity to every port of call. Its commanding silhouette and the immersive exhibitions on board have made it a standout attraction for visitors and international media alike.
For Dubliners and visitors to the city, the ship’s arrival offers a rare chance to step aboard and discover Peru’s rich heritage, vibrant traditions, and modern creativity—all in one unforgettable encounter.
