Food & Cider Weekend, Armagh - 04.09-07.09
From 4-7 September, Armagh Food & Cider Weekend returns with over 40 events celebrating the region’s famous Bramley apples, award-winning craft cider, and growing reputation as Northern Ireland’s Food Heartland.
Expect things like:
Orchard dinners and supper clubs
Apple picking, food tours and street markets
The very best of Armagh’s local chefs, producers, and makers
This weekend puts a spotlight on the people and produce behind Armagh’s food and cider story - from the birthplace of the PGI-status Bramley apple at Crannagael House to family-run cideries like Long Meadow and MacIvors. It’s a celebration of place, heritage, and community and a key event for the local economy.

Spike Island Literary Festival, Cork - 05.09-07.09
Now in its fourth year, the Spike Island Literary Festival returns this September with a gripping programme dedicated to the art of crime writing. Set against the unique backdrop of Spike Island’s infamous former prison, this one-of-a-kind festival brings together acclaimed authors and literary experts for a series of thrilling conversations, live readings and thought-provoking panels.

Saltwater Festival, Donegal - 05.09-06.09
The Saltwater Festival celebrates Ireland’s vibrant surf culture along the iconic Atlantic stretch from Easkey in Sligo, Strandhill, Bundoran to Rossnowlagh in Donegal, with a weekend packed full of world-class events and coastal experiences. The festival features the WSL Junior Pro in Bundoran, where the next generation of global surf talent will take on the legendary Peak, alongside the European Surf Ski Championships in Easkey, bringing over 100 elite paddlers to compete on powerful Atlantic waves. In Rossnowlagh, award-winning charity Liquid Therapy will host its Open Day, inviting surfers with additional needs into the water for an inclusive, empowering surf experience. Running alongside these events, Saltwater offers a vibrant celebration of coastal life with beach sports, local food experiences, film screenings, and a curated music trail, all honoring the unique surf culture that has flourished along Ireland’s wild western shore.

Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival, Lisdoonvarna - 1.09-30.09
Europe's biggest singles festival takes place every September in the small village of Lisdoonvarna on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way. The month-long Irish festival attracts people from all over the world looking for Love, fun and a bit of 'craic'. The festival is over 165 years old and couldn't be more different from online dating services.
